Your drive through journey will end with the option to exit the grounds or choose to park and continue into the Nights of Lights Christmas village. We highly recommend you park and walk the short distance to take in the “Around the World” synchronized light show, the light up holiday swings, and the Nights of Lights festive maze. Take a family-friendly holiday treat around a roaring fire pit, and allow yourself to get into the spirit as you enjoy holiday music while exploring artisan vendor booths reminiscent of European markets.

Walk Through Details

The beauty of magically lighted displays intertwined seamlessly in the nostalgic family friendly fairgrounds where locals can reminiscent youthful days spent at their local county fair, only now seeing the grounds lit up in a way like never before. Come make life long memories while taking in a merry festival of walk-through lights, Christmas Village, synchronized light show, festive food trucks, fire pits, the Gingerbread Café and more.
This experiential walk thru lighted Christmas village (and synchronized light show) is an adventure that’s easily enjoyed and shared by all walks of life. Keep scrolling to discover what lies ahead in this magical journey.

Funland

Towering toy soldiers greet you before you are wrapped in dazzling color within a light tunnel featuring alternating patterns and effects. When you emerge, you travel between firework lights bursting with color and a 19-car toy train.

Winter Wonderland

 A wall of tree canopies drips with shimmering icicles just overhead, and a giant fountain of lights transports you to a place as cold as it is beautiful.

Peace on Earth

Manassas has long been known as a historically significant location to our nation’s history, pay homage to the red white and blue as you marvel at the 50' long recreation of Old Glory in lights. The Stars and Stripes have never been so magnificent.

The Tree of Lights

Mesmerizing colors and effects wash over a 30' tall tree of lights, that will leave you in awe.

As you approach the end of your drive through journey, enjoy the nostalgia of the original Christmas story captured in this display depicting a night in a manger long ago.

Christmas Village and Marketplace

Dreaming of open artisan markets and magical canopy lights? Synchronized light shows, a holiday maze, light up Christmas swings and smores? Look no further than the Manassas, Virginia fairgrounds Christmas village and marketplace. This Christmas the Prince William County Fairgrounds (a Northern Virginia family friendly local tradition since 1949) will be covered in twinkling lights and holiday music from November 26th- January 9th. In addition to oohing and aahing over the breathtaking pedestrian displays, visitors can take in an evening of live music, or visit the gingerbread café and pick up a steaming cup of cocoa while browsing handmade gifts from local artisans.

Family Pavillion

Included in your entrance fee to the village families will gather in the family pavilion to enjoy illuminated swings, games, and a photo ops with a stunningly decorated tree (possibly the most gorgeous and elegant angels sound trumpets, declaring peace over a massive illuminated, sparkling globe.

The North Pole

Turn the corner and find yourself in the magic of icy slopes to the left a field of penguins and large skating polar bears. Trekking deeper into the winter bliss is what every boy and girl wishes for…the magic of Santa! Peer into workshops and reindeer stables as children of all ages can glimpse into the Santa’s workshop and see him leading his elves in preparing the gifts he will need for his Christmas Eve journey. Turn the corner and say goodbye to a larger than life Frostie If you've never seen a 40' tall snowman before, you WILL. Frosty rises high above everyone as he smiles down on you as you exit into the secret Garden of lights.

Secret Garden of Lights

Fields of flowers surround an old preserved large oak tree while Jumbo-sized flowers create a unique, luminescent pathway for guests to gaze upon. After so many wintery displays, this magnificent garden will take the chill off. Bursting with the colors of springtime, you will feel wrapped in warmth as you pass through a wandery garden of color.

12 Days of Christmas

The classic Christmas”12 Days of Christmas” singalong is brought to life in vivid color with whimsical displays while Atop the hillside to your right let your sweet tooth be inspired by candy canes and candies leading the way to the brightly lit the enchanting gingerbread family.

FAQs

What type of light show is this?

Nights of Lights is a unique Christmas experience in that it is a magical drive through experience as well as a walk-through experience that includes synchronized light shows, a Christmas shopping bazaar, fire pits with festive food and food trucks as well as carnival attractions. You can go to only the drive through or you can opt to only go to the walk through and bazaar although for the most holiday cheer, we highly recommend both experiences.

What kind of attire should we bring/wear?

We suggest dressing for the weather if planning to go to the walk-through events, the bazaar and walk-through exhibits are in a covered open air outdoor market, the carnival and fire pit areas will not be under a covered area.

When should I buy my tickets?

ASAP! We highly recommend purchasing tickets as far in advance as you can, as we anticipate selling out many nights, especially in the busier days of the season.

Can I purchase my ticket at Nights of Lights?

Yes, if tickets remain, you may purchase your ticket at the event. However, we highly recommend purchasing ahead of time online.

If tickets are sold out online, will there be tickets available at the event?

No. If the event is sold out, there will be no tickets available at the entrance to Nights of Lights.

Is parking free for the Bazar and walk-through experience?

Yes! Parking is free. On site staff will help direct you to a spot when you arrive.

Where should I park?

Free parking is available in lots within a short walking distance of all walk-through experiences. There will be parking attendants to direct you to the closest available parking areas when you arrive.

How long does it take to visit Nights of Lights?

While every visit is unique, it will take approximately 30-45 minutes to see and experience all of the drive through plus walk-through displays. Add extra time for the free kid friendly light up swings and holiday maze and well as shopping for gifts, tasting holiday fair and exploring carnival attractions.

How long is the drive through portion of Nights of Lights?

The drive through portion is approximately one mile.

Is Nights of Lights ADA accessible/stroller friendly?

The walking portion of the event is flat pavement, gravel and some grass.

Are there wheelchairs or strollers available onsite?

No. Guests who need a wheelchair or stroller should bring their own.

Are pets allowed at Winter Wander?

No. For the safety of our guests, no pets of any kind are permitted at Nights of Lights. Service animals are allowed.

Are food and drinks available?

There will be local venders providing seasonal treats and well as food trucks providing dinner options. Outdoor seating is available both around the firepits as well as seating in the show barn where you can simultaneously watch the “Christmas around the World” synchronized light show.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

No outside food is permitted. Due to Virginia ABC regulations, outside beverages are not permitted.

Will Nights of Lights cancel due to rain or snow?

Nights of Lights is a rain, snow or shine event. Should a weather cancellation occur, please check our social media account on Facebook @NightsofLightsManassas. Please dress for the weather as the walking trail is outside.
